I have the opportunity to buy the "Puppy Love" Petfly Carrier used for $70 Canadian. For me to order one from their website would cost $200 Canadian after shipping and taxes. The owner of the carrier says she only used it once or twice, and it looks brand new. Her puppy outgrew it quite quickly. I have two questions about buying this carrier....

First, is it safe to use seeing as another dog has been in it? Missy has only had her first set of vaccinations. I'm wondering if I can clean it somehow to make sure that she doesn't get anything from the previous dog. The owner said because she only used it a couple of times, it's never been cleaned before. I'm not going to be toting Missy around in it for a few weeks, but I would like to give her the opportunity to get to use it in our home and get use to it.

Second, Missy according to growth charts will only be 3.5 lbs when full grown. This carrier is a Size - Small carrier and accomodates up to 11lbs
9H x 8D x 16L. Should I be getting her the mini (rated up to 4lbs) instead? I would kind of like her to have some extra room for a blanket and toy, but I'm wondering if more room is better or not.
