It's really fascinating in a sick way to go to countryhomeyorkies.com and read on and on about how special their dogs are, and are treated, and hand raised, see them practically drinking a Cognac next to the fireplace and then go to yorkies.com to see the horrible nightmarish, apparent truth. The breeder's site claims
"We home raise our Yorkies by hand the old fashioned way! Here in our home, we raise our Yorkies with us and not in a kennel environment. They have the run of the house!" - If she has that many dogs to sell, it's doubtful they all run the house. Uncaged.
And there's this nonsensical paragraph:
"Terriers need to grow and give fostering compassion to each puppy that we raise in our quiet country enviornment. Whether it be frollicing on our expansive lawns, gardens or walks in our woodlands with us, our puppies have the benefit of growing up in the fresh air of our private countryside estate." - "terriers need to grow..."? well, yaaah Maybe they should focus more on healthy dogs, rather than dogs that are out playing polo?
And then this gem:
"Being a decorator by trade, our home has been designed with our Yorkies in mind! It is a peacefilled home and the Yorkies enjoy this cozy, serene setting. They truly are the heart of our home! " - Huh?? Home decorating to create a serene environment for the Yorkies? As in, lavender potpourri simmering away to soothe them? Refreshing bunches of dried flowers and herbs hung in pleasing color arrangements?? I don't know about you, but my Yorkies simply chew the walls if the paint color selection doesn't compliment the fine leather sofa....
