Question Cold weather questions

I am a first time Yorkie owner and this is going to be our first winter with Obi. Since the weather has turned colder he no longer seems to be sleeping through the night. I'm wondering if this is because my husband has the heat turned down too low when we sleep (62 degrees). Last night I ended up sleeping on the couch with him because every time I tried to put him in his crate he barked, and it wasn't because he needed to go to the bathroom. He does have a blanket that I put over him, but I'm wondering if it's not enough. Does anyone have any thoughts/suggestions for me, as I am getting so exhausted with having to get up several times during the night with him and sleeping on the couch. We don't want him to sleep in bed with us, so I need other ideas.

I'm also concerned that on the days when we leave him home in his crate that my husband has the heat set too low. What temperature do you set your heat at when you're away? I do have a sweater to put on him, but am not sure that's enough.
