That's funny you say that because that's kind of what I've thought of Isla's coat. Like you said, it almost is separated into little "dreds." She is only 5 months old so she hasn't matted a whole lot. Is your yorkie older and has her hair always been like this? Has it matted more as she ages? When you pet Isla it doesn't feel matted yet. But I could see how it would.
