Depending on how many items we get donated, we will be doing door prizes--we will do some combination of: everyone attending will get their name put in for drawings; door prizes given to "smallest", "largest", "drove the furthest", etc...
Also, we will be "raffling off" some things---$2 donation per chance to win (or 3 chances for $5), proceeds benefitting OKYR.
I also think it would be fun to get T-shirts made for us (that will come a little later when I have time to "design" them).....those we would sell for cost, plus $2 to benefit OKYR. When I work on that, I will post the design for all to see, and then take "orders" so I don't end up with umpteen T-shirts leftover.
Let me just say, in getting together we have a great opportunity to make/solidify friendships, as well as a ready-made play date for our furkids, and it costs us absolutely nothing but the drive over!!!! But, we also have a unique opportunity to take part, if we wish, in helping out a really great cause--OKYR. I have been the college student that wants to attend an event and wants to be able to help a cause, but isn't able to financially. Now, I'm finacially able to make small donations to worthy causes, and hopefully in the future I'll be able to make larger donations. Remembering where I came from, I don't want anyone to not attend because they don't feel able to contribute anything but themselves.....we WANT YOU!!! So, please come and enjoy the fun!!
