I just love this thread, because it is so true, they fill a void in your heart! (even if your not an empty nester). My daughter has been gone since 2003, is now in her second year of medical school, and my son in the military, two daughters one in Tennessee and one in Kentucky. Soooo, yes we definitely fall in the category of empty nesters. We are retired and this little guy has become our baby. We dont get to see our children or grandchildren enough and plan on many road trips. It will be so nice to be able to take our baby with us!

Although.... Addisons one and only road trip thus far (bringing him home from a rescue) he vomited in the van. Im am really hoping it was all the stress of the situation. I do hear there is medication that is safe to give them to help with nausea. I hope this is true, would hate to think he was miserable riding in the car.
