Izze is claustrauphobic so I just leave her in my bedroom with Molly... so that works out. Could you puppyproof a room in your parent's home? a bathroom perhaps (make sure chemicals in bathroom are put away (not under sink) and toilet lid is shut...

I've tried everything with the crate, and Dolly knows me too well, she knows that she only has to whine/bark for a little while before mommy feels real guity and lets her out! and my parents place is hard wood floored. any space with a high surface ex. bed, toilet seat, etc. she will jump onto them and break her tiny little legs when jumping off. she did that once already, so I have to be real careful.
