This is an idea that I ran across somewhere here on YT so it is not my idea. It would keep your baby safely in the ex-pen.
"You could go to any home improvement store and get some crossed trellis material (it usually comes in plastic sheets or wooden expandable/collapsible sizes) and attach with some plastic zip ties at one end(as a hinge point) and simply rope/twine as needed to keep it down."

I also have different toys that I can put a few treats into that have been chopped into tiny pieces. They spend a lot of time getting the treats out. The tiny pieces make it so that I don't over feed them. I also play music fairly loudly to cover up outside noises that sets them off....especially the Pommie.
