Tell him not to put up a fight with the veterinary staff. Gus' vet record is now permanently flagged with "MUZZLE". As I handed him over to the vet tech, he never looked back at me, but I could see his eyes from the distance saying "I know I'm going to have to deal with this myself." I felt like I let my buddy down. However, to my joy, we're still best buddies.
