The poster above me is right that ignoring the dog and praising him will stop most dogs from crying. My dog is a puppy. When he was younger, I tried to ignore his crying and he got louder and louder. I had to bang on his kennel and say be quite when he started to cry. I could not let him start crying. Every time he started to cry, I gave him this command. I praised him when he was not crying by cheering for him, giving him a toy, or letting him out his kennel. Some people use a squirt bottle to squirt water on the dog when he cried.
