I love my little Yorkie boy - he is just over 6 months and got neutered last week (poor guy) and he had his teeth pulled out an a microchip put in. He was sore all over but is such a trouper!! He is adjusting fine and plays with his cone and even loves playing in the snow with his cone. He scoops it all up in his cone and then licks it up (he's a bit of a mad licker). I would love a girl too though. They say males are calmer and my guy has a fabulous personality! Very happy and outgoing!
It was so hard for me to get him neutered last week and I feel bad about it - some people have been giving me a bit of a hard time for doing it. I know they say it is best for them in the long run though with aggression and marking. We got all the extra pain medication we could though and I don't think he's been in pain at all.
Sorry to get off-topic but I have a question that is still somewhat related. Do neutered Yorkies lift their leg eventually or does neutering prevent this behaviour? We train him to go potty inside on a Wiz Dog/pee pad so it could be a challenge for me if he is lifting his leg and thus not aiming on the pad as much with a squat.
Thanks for any feedback! Much appreciated!
