Actually, you could save lots of money on eyeliner. Red Stick by Maybelline is a staple for me and has been for the past 6 - 7 years & has been my mom's staple for a million years. Take a lighter and melt it a tad, run the lighter on the tip briefly, let it dry then apply. My liner used to last all day at school and the rest of the evening until I took it off before bed. I've been asked by 50 million people what type of liner I use & I'm always so happy to be able to share such a cheap idea with them.
I usually just blend my shadow with my finger, I get the result I'm looking for better than I do when I use a brush.
Always apply your mascara (on your eyelid eyelashes) to the top of the lashes first then underneath. Wiggle it a bit then sweep up. Only apply a bit to the bottom lashes (on the bottom of your eye).
A cheap alternative to Bare Essentuals is Everyday Minerals. You can buy a sample kit for free & only pay shipping. I got 1 concealer, 1 foundation & 3 blushes for $3.95 shipped. I prefer liquid make-up though as the "mineral powder" just seemed to set into the little lines under my eyes.
I'm a make-up freak, it's the main reason why I started cosmetology school. |
