 Diabetes ....I think my baby has it?
I think my furry baby is diabetic. He drinks over 48oz (minimum 32oz) of water a day. He used to be on Wellness wet food and I slowly changed him over to dry wellness mixed with wet (Appetite is kinda poor, usually have to tailor his meals ...warm them add broth...chicken...... He drank a lot of water before but now its ridiculous.... I know with dry they drink more, BUT he cab't wait to go outside...he paces nd circles like crazy till you let him out and if you are not there he starts to pee in a circle while he is walking.....not to mention when he realizes he has to pee and he jumps off the couch pee comes flying out? He is a bigger size Yorkie 10lbs and he is lean and long...not over weight by any means. I made a appt with vet tuesday, could it be anything else. Do they sell OTC strips to check his pee ? |
