 My Yorkie gets v e r y upset/nervous with paw grooming. HELP!!
I have a four year old Yorkie who gets very nervous and upset with the grinding noise of the peticure and petipaws. I bought one of each and had to return them both because he would freak out when I came near him. PetSmart groomers refuse to trim his nails because he gets so upset and they were concerned about his "heart"!!
I have to take him to the vet ($32.00) to have his nails and foot pads trimmed every three weeks. They suggested that I give him Benadryl 30 minutes before his appointment to help relax him.
I don't want to give him medication just for grooming. Any recommendations would truly be appreciated.
