Congratulations on your new little guy. I am glad you were able to give him a good home. Sometimes it is better for some dogs to be the "one and only" in a family which may be why he was terrorizing the silkies.
I am learning this the hard way as I am having a similar problem between my "alpha" female and the other female I have. Lexie is fine with my two boys, but has suddenly decided she does not want another female in the house. We are looking for a new home for her; until then we are keeping them separated. Don't know how easy it was for Chewie's other mom to give him up, but it breaks my heart to have to rehome Lexie. I just keep telling myself that she is not happy the way things are now and neither is my other smaller female that she is attacking. But it is very difficult regardless.

Good luck with Chewie (love that name!) and please keep us updated on his progress in his new home with you.
