Dezi did this when I put Advantix on her. The poor thing went through this for over a week. She itched and scratched in her sleep even! I felt so bad. I did try to spread the dose over more area and she just scratched over her whole body instead. My old vet said it was the tick meds and the plain Advantage just for fleas shouldn't do it. I switched and she was fine. I had to use Frontline for this past dose and although she didn't itch, she didn't seem right. My new vet insisted on tick control and actually doesn't carry Advantage, only Advantix and I won't ever use it again. I also read the pesticide is assimilated through the stomach and intestine before it is passed out of their body and she has so many digestive issues, I don't know if I'll use any of these next flea season. |
