i'm pretty sure neither- i think- they just happen. Take for example LP (Slipping knee cap) That can be genetic or it can just happen. As far as i know for sure reverse sneezing just happens and i'm pretty sure the trachea is the same- especially if a collar is used. but i could be wrong on that one. You should look it up.
