No it doesn't look irritated or red at all. And no, he is fine with shampoo. Maybe it's the smell, that may bug him. I'm not sure. I asked my vet about it once and she didn't seem too concerned but it is obvious that he hates it for one reason or another. He never screams like he does when the Frontline is on him. Poor guy.
