I don't think that the Obama family is making this big of a deal out of it (though his daughters might be...I sure did when I wanted a dog lol), it is the media/nation that is doing it. It's kind of like the Joe the Plumber frenzy. It was just a comment that gone blown a bit out of proportion. Give it a week.
