My pup has started a Hacking noise the last few days, it started as maybe 1 small episode the first day lasting about 5 seconds.. the second day it lasted about 5 seconds as well but he had about 2 episodes and today he did it 2 - 3 times and one of the episodes lasted about 20 seconds I even took him out of his little house he was napping in and turned him upside down a little thinking he was choking on something.
He is NOT left unattended nor does he have any free reign of our home, so I don't think he has anything stuck in his throat, this is just really worrying me as it doesn't sound exactly *normal* .. however, I have never owned a yorkie or any toy breed so I don't know if many of them do this or not.
It's a hacking sound or wheezing sound maybe? Anyone know what this could be or experienced this before... am I overreacting?
