You can put up a artifical tree and then buy live garland and a live wreath to bring the scent of pine into the house. That way you could control where the pine needles fall a little more easily and perhaps keep the puppies from snacking and/ or god forbid peeing on the live tree. Honestly though none of the dogs I have ever had like to chew on the pine needles, but they might tug on a branch or make off with your ornaments. Put the "safe to chew if stolen ornaments at the bottom to be safe." This year should be entertaining...lets see..5 dogs...3 cats...2 trees...oh what fun !!!
