If they don't like the mush then they probably will not like canned food. I would keep just trying the mush until you can get a blender to grind up the dry food. The weaning process will be slow but they should start eating more as they get older. Most just don't like the mush once it turns cold. By using the ground up dry food you don't have to worry about the food spoiling and it is not as messy.
