Hey Angie. I really think it might be the food. You were aware of their formula change not to long ago, weren't you? I think they added some pumkin and something else, I cannot quite remember as I wasn't too focused on it since I had changed foods in June.
Ranger started his bouts of gastroenteritis in January, shortly after we stared him on Innova. I didn't think twice about the food because I thought the ingredients were so fabulous. However, after another bout and almost death experience in February, then a few other mild bouts throughout the spring and finally the LAST one in June, the lightbulb clicked and I changed him to Wellness Superfive. I guess I was a bit dense and had just succombed to the idea that he was super sensitive and would always have tummy issues.
He did GREAT on that, but started disliking it. I put him on Natural Balance Sweet Potato and Fish and then finally switched to NV raw. I LOVE the Natural Balance, any formula really, and will continue to use it for snacks and travel, but I really like the raw. My babies LOVE it, haven't had ANY gastro problems, and most of all are soooo excited to eat which makes me feel good

Ranger hasn't had a problem since I took him off Innova in June.
I think the Science Diet is fine for a short time, but honestly, I don't think she should need it for more than a few days, as her intenstine and tummy should heal quickly. I think re-introducing something that causes such a reaction would be very detrimental, and would switch her after a week of I/D, mixing a bit together, you know the drill.
Look into Natural Balance, it's a great product. I have heard others had problems with the babies getting tired of eating Wellness. Good luck!! Give kisses to sweet Tatum for me!!
