Many times, issues arise after liver shunt surgery..It can be within weeks, months, or even years that this happens.
It's best to feed 4-6 SMALL meals per day to lighten the load on the liver. Also, supplements would probably be helpful. Have you had any bloodwork done on your baby recently? It's important to continue to monitor bloodwork every 6 months to see how the liver is doing.
Does your baby exhibit any symptoms of liver problems still even if they're not as severe? Is she picky? ever lethargic? drool? headpress? urinary issues like dark urine? smelly urine? UTIs? crystals/stones?
