Here's what we did... we gave Gypsy lots of attention .. and treats.... the first few days. We would feed her first, let her outside first, offer her a toy first, ect. That way she didn't feel passed over or replaced. We would praise her for being nice to the puppy .... and treats. We also would interfere if play got heated, making ME "the leader of the pack", and telling her to be gentle. I also kept certain routines, such as our special time we always spend together, one on one. It makes a difference to her!
