Its a big decision to add a new family member, that's why you panic. All will be well.
Louis is my soul pup - we are so bonded and in love with each other. When I got Ella, I was nervous, too. But, the bond gets better and deeper and you will build a special and unique bond with Lilly/Gwyneth/Maybel (LOL)
When I first got Ella, I made sure to give Louis tons and tons of treats so he associated Ella's presence with getting rewards and it worked! Now I can't separate the two of them! It will take time for them to like each other and you may not bond as instantly with your new pup, but over time, you will all find your place. Just remember, dogs have feelings, but they also live in the moment. If Ralphie gets sad or jealous, it wont last.
