i think they are ok. when you saw blood on it was it at a stage where Benji would or might have been teething or loosing some of his baby teeth??? if so, then that would have explained the blood and would have been normal. i've seen little bits of blood on chew toys when mine were loosing teeth. i think it's good and healthy for them to chew those. it helps their gums and helps keep the plaque off
