I use a pin brush, but found the cheap pin brushes scratch the skin. You should be able to stoke your arm and not have any scratches. A good pin brush has finely polished tips that are smooth. Many people recommend the Chris Christensen pin brush, but they are very costly, and one member who has both the CC brush and the less expensive Madden brush preferred the Madden so I choose that, and I'm very happy with it. Madden Brushes for Dogs I use a steal comb, and finish his brushing with the comb next to his skin.
