my muffin was also diagnosted from blood work on monday with this pancreatic problem ,she was starting to dehydrate and was shaking ,the vet gave her a shot of pain medication and advised me to try adding (tuna in WATER the can stuff) adding just the water from the tuna to her normal drinking water and she also told me to give her GASTRO formula made by medi-cal as her only food for 2-3 days .The only way i could get her to take the water was from a syringe I got at the pharmacy and to only give her 1-2 tablespoons of this special food (soft one)6 times a day and no other food of any kind .Monday she was in bad shape but by yesterday a big difference,today she is almost back to herself .I spent Monday night up with her and kept offering her this special water every hour to hour and a half ,she was taking it slowly at first but as long as she was drinking I was happy.By tuesday morning when i called the vet with the info she had has 26 tsp.of water and 1/3 can of food .The vet was satisfied with that ,but I continue to monitor her closely but thank god all looks good now .Hope this is helpful to you .good luck with your pooch .Be sure if you try the tuna it must be the one in water NOT OIL :
