I did the same with both of my girls. the vet told me in the morning when I dropped them off that the surgery should be done around 2pm and they would call me as soon as they woke up from anesthesia. but I just could not wait. I called the vet every half an hour after 10am, I was so nervous about them going under since they are so small. but the vet told me that the risk level has no direct correlation with pet weight, it does has a positive correlation with pet's age though. and since they were young, it should be ok!
