I have a son who lived there for about 7 years before transferring up to Ventura. I visited here and there and the place I really liked was Coronada Island. It was like getting out of all the fast pace madness.
The Coronada Hotel is awsome and worth a look see. It's claimed to be haunted. The Zoo is really nice too, but would days to see it all. If I think of anything else I'll post.
