I've flown with Ranger a few times and am taking Ryder to San Diego the first week of December. I have never had any trouble. I use a soft carrier (Kwigy Bo Charlie) and have always been able to at least put the bag in my lap during the flight. I just ordered a new Petote carrier for Ry, but may still use the KB for the flight, we'll see.

If you can help it, don't fly United. Unfortunately I am, and it's going to cost well over the price of my ticket to fly Ryder, but it's worth it to me. Make sure you call and add her to your reservation- they only accept a few dogs per flight.

I didn't know you could give Dramamine to dogs, but I know they can take Benadryl (which is a main ingredient of Dramamine), that should help her rest and not get sick.

How long is your flight? I usually feed half Ranger's breakfast 2 hours before we leave the house, and supplement with Nutrical along the way. Good luck!
