All animal slaughter is cruel and needless. There is no such thing as painless killing. But to hunt for pleasure and sport is the worse kind of sadism. To get joy from killing an innocent sentient being ,well that person has to be sick.
I truly believe in Karma (what goes around comes around) and I hope that comes true for the hunters here mentioned.

Some of us can not eat vegtables and fruit as they can kill us do to extreme allegic reactions and so we need to live on other things.
As for hunting and gathering.. yeah that be the dog that caused us to be better hunters.... we/they became domestic and taught us to hunt better.
Yorkies are hunters and they need meat to live. He just fell back on what he had in his gene pool.
We can and are able to grow and kill animals in a humane way.
That some do not and can not is not our fault but we can ask for them to try to do better.
There are countries in the world that raise dogs to eat and it is the only source of protien avalible sadly but they have not room to grow cows or pigs.
It is what it is and as long as we do what we do with repsect to the animal there should not be a problem to eat them as may of those animals out there go right on out and kill another to keep themselves alive.
Also without farmers and farms most of those beast would not be around anyway as there is not enough natural food out there as it is.
As for hunting in this time of poor economics it is the only way some can provide for thier families. Deer, elk, rabbits, duck amd moose are an important staple.
As for hunting things that one can not eat that be unacceptable like bears and wolves as they re few and far between and not good to eat.
You are allowed to be a believe that animals are not to eat but for me fruits are not edible and a killer.
