It's a private forum for a group of people who play an online war game called Call of Duty against other groups of people and they have chosen to call their group, (team), Thunderbolts. I doubt it was meant in any disrespectful way, maybe the person who is team leader had a family member serve in that division and that is why they picked that name to honour them? It is a war game based on WW2 afterall.

The "[83rd]Division" and "Thunderbolts" are used interchangeably. We're an online community of like-minded, mature PC gamers. The name stems from the World War II Infantry division of the same name that was known for their fighting ability and camaraderie.

What is the purpose of this group?
To have fun playing computer games together and make friends while doing so.
