Sad Roxy has a hurt paw :(

So the other day I was taking Roxy for a walk, and I was trying to be a "calm assertive pack leader" and walk straight ahead confidently because this always seems to make her better at walking - she doesn't pull on the leash as much, or try to stop and sniff things. Well anyways, we were walking and as usual I was looking and walking straight ahead and we were walking past a lady, when Roxy tried to jump up and say hi to her, well instead she ended up taking a stumble because I kept on walking and her leash was rather short so there wasn't enough room for her to jump. I feel awful, I think she landed the wrong way and really pulled a muscle or something because she started limping, so I picked up up and walked the rest of the way home. That was probably on Thursday evening or Friday morning. She stopped limping shortly after we got home, but she is still holding up her paw sometimes when she is sitting or standing for longer periods of time. It seems like she doesn't like to put too much pressure on it. We took her to the vet on Saturday and she checked her out and said nothing was broken, and prescribed some anti inflamitories and said not to take her for any walks for a week. Well it's obviously a few days later, and we haven't done any walks, but Roxy has so much puppy energy that she needs to burn it off, so instead she will roar around the house, jump on and off the couch and basically just want to play. Because of this, every once in a while, she will re-injur her par and start limoing around again for about 10 mins, then she will go back to normal, but still always holding her paw up because she doesn't want to put a lot of pressure on it when she's sitting or standing.

I'm not sure what to do about this. Will Roxy just get better on her own? Will she need some more medication? I'm not sure? Any suggestions or advice?
