 A bladder infection now?
Hi everyone. You probably know my story... my little girl had surgery on Friday to have a mast cell tumor removed. She did really well with the surgery and incision is healing nicey. Last night (monday) I noticed she kept running outside to pee... So this morning she was doing the same, and I put a cup under her hoping to get a sample of it to take to my vet, but it was just a few little drops each time... I felt so bad... anyway, called vet and took her in and they also tried to get a sample from her this morning but to no avail... they changed her antibiotic from her surgery she was on for infection to something called clavomax because the vet thinks its maybe a uti or cyrstals... I am home today trying to collect a sample, but she wont let me. She either wont do it when she seems me coming with the cup, or the two times I caught her they werent enough but a few drops of urine.
My questions being, does this sound like a bladder infection to you all that have had experience with them?
How long should I start to notice an improvement with her on the new antibiotic if that is what it is??
