You can use the child photographers trick...hold a toy or anything the dog will look at...slightly to the side of the camera. the reason you get the green eyes is that the light from the flash is bouncing off the back of the eye and passing straight back to the camera. If the eye is turned just slightly the green color won't be seen by the camera. This is why the off-camera flash works, it is far enough out of perfect alignment to bounce the reflection away from the camera lense. I agree with everyone else...natural lighting is best. |
