I agree with everyone who said that pre-op bloodwork is really important...
My yorkie was given Rimadyl once after a surgery (he was around 1 yr old), and he had a horrible reaction to it..We thought we were losing him, and he only got a couple of doses. He was extremely lethargic, vomiting profusely, etc...
