I would start by researching and finding a reputable breeder, there are many on here and many show breeders, who breed to the standard are out there. I have had yorkies since 1970 and my first was a 16 lb floppy eared short coated love bug. But since I really wanted one that met the yorkie standard I did more research with each one I got after that. My Pixe and Roxie are from a show breeder and have the look I was wanting. I got Pixie when she was 13 months so I knew exactly what I was getting. A reputable breeder should show you the parents, keep the puppies until they are 12 weeks old and be able to tell you approximately how much they will weigh, no one can say for sure, but a breeder has a good idea what her lines do. Just don't rush into it and fall for the first cute puppy you see. I am sure you will get a lot of help on here. Good luck!
