My grandson's pup (a Westie) sleeps better with his crate covered, too. He's in the traditional wire crate, so it makes sense. When the Yorks were crated, they were in travel crates, so it was pretty dark anyway.

Nice to hear you got some sleep. Puppies and human babies have a lot in common when it comes to keeping you awake at night
