I was told by my nutritionist that they should be eating a diet with more carbs and veggies verses protein, but the protein has to be of quality and the 'right kind' of protein, plus the right supplements
Isn't rice high in purines? I use it because Ellie's nutritionist was okay with it (of course her bile acids weren't 106 then ).

We do use chicken and turkey here but vegetarian protein is probably best if she is having any symptoms.

As for bile acid testing, we tested three times and it was up so high last time with no conclusive test results that we probably won't test again. With MVD, you may be able to stop testing because they aren't going to come down anyway. With LS, they should come down after surgery. If you are trying to get them to come down with diet and supplements, retesting in 30 days would be normal.
