My 4 month old is doing the same thing i believe even though he goes a lot outside, What color is your carpet? I have found that if you soak up the pee right away and then clean the patch like with an carpet oxy cleaner it will remove the stain and the smell, once a week after i vacuum i also febreeze the entire carpet.

you just have to make sure to watch them every second, i could not believe the little surprises mine would leave me when hes out of my sight for only 5 seconds.

It also helps that my carpet is a dark beige, i picked out that color on purpose to hide stains that may not come out.
