Hello everyone!! I hope you can help me out with some suggestions!
I have a 4 YEAR OLD yorkie that cannot seem to get potty training. Yes, 4 YEARS old, not 4 months!! I lived in an apartment her whole life and she had an x-pen and potty pads, so it was never really an issue. My fiance and I bought our first house a few months ago and she has been peeing on our carpet!! It's practically ruined!
I've tried giving her really nummy liver treats and lots of praise when she goes outside. She does go, but an hour, sometimes even a half hour later she'll go inside! I swear she just fake pees outside to get the treat!!
I've been crating her when she isn't 100% supervised and giving her about 5 or 10 minutes of play time after she goes out and successfully pees. But I still find little pee spots. I've steam cleaned the carpets at least twice in the last month, and it still stinks like pee in my house!
Any suggestions would be great. Thanks so much!!
