I feel so badly for you! I can imagine how upset you must be.
My son's boston terrier (3 years old) was not spayed when they bought a miniature schnauzer puppy. They had planned to have him neutered, but before they did, he "made friends" with Sophie.
She was pregnant and they had her spayed immediately. It was sad - but those would've been some UGLY puppies!
