My breeder said she HAD been tested and the vet confirmed that stress/new environment is a contributing factor but as to HOW she picked it up, I dont' know. We took her to the vet for a checkup the third day we had her and she had started having issues on day 2. In my research, it is so very common it can't really be prevented and is no reflection on the breeder at all.
