HI, it sounds like Buddy is friendly, outgoing and doesn't have any social issues with other dogs....I would imagine he will LOVE having a playmate in the house!!
My Daizy is very friendly and outgoing...and I'm finally getting our second furbaby this coming Tuesday!! We are so excited!!!
The fact that he's a boy and you want a girl shouldn't matter...Buddy is already neutered....and you'll be getting your little girl spayed....depending on either one of them...if they are dominant some dogs do "humpty dumpty" to other dogs in the house...just trying to "show" their dominance.
