I tell you, Smokey had the WORST hair. We would get him groomed and he would be untangled for a few hours after we got him home, then he was a matted mess again. He had medium length hair. We didn't shave him, but we cut him short enough to wear his adult hair was going through and he's been great ever since.... I don't even have to brush him!
