We're going to try the "time out" cage trick. It will be more painful for me than for her.

The pee has gotten into the grout, stained it, and the room always smells bad. I'm bummed.

There are some excellent products out there that help with the stain and the odor! I didn't think it was possible! I have had to buy a lot over the years... I have a cat that has crystal problems which causes her to pee in my formal livingroom. I didn't think anything would help with the stains or the odor. A homemade solution that works great and is inexpensive (although try it in a spot first, because any of the stain removers could possible take the color out...although I haven't had any of them do this) is Hydrogen Peroxide, Baking Soda, and a few drops of dish soap. I also bought one that I really liked the smell called Out from Walmart. I have bought Hoovers, a couple from Petco, Nature's Miracle (my least favorite), and White Vinegar...it works but I hate the smell.

You need to spray them on and leave them to dry. If the smell or stain is still there, spray on daily until they are gone. Don't give up!
