Just one more question from me... with a female already in the home, is it better to get a male or female pup?
I think it depends on the pup. When we had Roxanne the kids brought home Poncho, Roxanne wasn't too happy about that. (Roxanne was a Rottie who thought she was a yorkie) Anyway, when I brought home Princess, Roxanne took her under her wing and they were best friends. Poncho liked Princess and would play with her, but he wasn't too happy Mom's lap was taken up all the time. They are now best friends. A few years after Roxanne passed away, we brought home Mandy (another Rottie) Princess was super happy, but poor old Poncho wasNot another one. LOL

I really think it all depends on the pup, Princess will play with anyone who will play with her. Poncho will just put up with who ever comes home.

I would set up playdates to make sure they get along. But then again, I didn't set up anything when I brought home Princess, I just knew she was the one for me.
Sorry, I guess that didn't help very much. LOL

I don't think the sex matters all that much, I would just pick the one steals your heart.
