[QUOTE=Wabbit;2319141]For her to bark and bite at you....and to be barking all the time....looks like you have yourself a little dominant girl....you need to establish yourself as pack leader to her....The best way to do that is to walk her...keep her at your side....she will learn that YOU control the walks....even if it's cold you can still go out for a little bit...put her on a leash...even if it's just inside your yard.....keep her beside you....don't let her lead you around....then she's pack leader...
You ARE right. She is very dominant! My mom has said that my lil pup has me wrapped around her lil paws. (She always leads the walks...I never thought about this as her dominating me!) I guess she's just getting really upset knowing i'm leaving now. This morning was much better. When she started to growl, I shut my bathroom door so she couldn't see me. When she was quiet - I'd open it back up. However, the minute she started barking....I shut her out again. She finally got the clue, and for the second half of the morning she behaved.
I think she barks at night, because I have some noisy neighbors who come and go at all hours of the night. However, I kinda thought she would've gotten use to them doing that by now.
Anyways, thanks for the tips! I'll try harder to not let her rule the pack! |
